Those with an interest in health, beauty and exercise will be spoilt for choice when the Regal Theatre hosts its Health & Wellbeing Show on Sunday 12 April.
The all-day event (10am to 3pm) will host a series of expert speakers on stage throughout the day, with over 20 exhibitors ranging from doctors and nurses from Tenbury Surgery, Homeopathy, beauty, nutrition, exercise, and Menopause specialists.
“This is a show for all the family,” explains Julie Todd, one of the organisers, “people will be be given an entrance wristband so they can come and go throughout the day to browse stalls and listen to as many or as few of the talks on stage as they wish. Each talk with a Q&A session afterwards is around 30 minutes, and a full programme and timings of speakers will be announced at the start of April.
“We are offering free mini massages, hand massages, blood pressure checks and much more. We even have a fabulous baker selling gluten-free cakes and healthy bakes!
“All concessions, and children under the age of 14 can come along for free. There is a small entrance charge of GBP 5 per adult, but that includes a free coffee (or tea) or glass of healthy juice. As always at the Regal, tickets can be purchased in advance by visiting https://www.regaltenbury.co.uk/events/love-your-regal-health-and-wellbeing-show
Rebecca Lane from Andrew Jelley Opticians is one of the exhibitors and will also be presenting on stage.
She said: “Andrew Jelley Opticians is delighted to be participating in the upcoming Health and Wellbeing Show at the Regal Theatre. Our team of fully qualified practitioners have been looking after eyes in the local community at our independent practice in Tenbury since 1984. With people becoming increasingly aware of their health and wellbeing, the Show will be a fantastic opportunity for us to share our expertise on eye health, raise awareness of the importance of regular eye examinations and explain how our community can look after their eyes.”
“Wellbeing events in the local community are so important, as it allows people to see what services are available to them that they may not be aware of, said Julie Cosgrove, Menopause coach. “It also allows the practitioners to talk to each other, so we can refer clients to a more appropriate practitioner if needed.
“As a Certified Menopause Coach, I believe we need to start talking more about the impact that the menopause transition has on the sufferer, but also the people around them. At events like this, I offer reassurance they aren’t alone, signposting for further help, and advising on self-care approaches. At this event, I will be offering 30 minute coaching slots, so people can walk away with lifestyle and mindset strategies to help them better manage their symptoms. To raise awareness, I enjoy presenting talks on my journey from being a nurse to becoming a menopause coach, and explaining what I actually do.”
The final word goes to co-organiser Julie Todd: “I would urge anyone to come along and find out more on the day. Not only do we have a plethora of experts who you can talk to in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, but the talks on stage will be enlightening.
“There’s even a fantastic raffle taking place, so you could go home with more than just great advice!”
