Pottery Workshop at Teme Valley Artisans

Learn how to create a slab-built vase or pot from flat slabs of clay.

The workshop is for beginners who want to learn how to make something special.

Time: 2pm to 4.30pm

Location: The Makers Loft above Teme Valley Artisans CIC, 24 Market St, Tenbury Wells WR15 8BQ

All materials will be provided however please bring along any items (flowers, textured materials such as lace, flowers, shells, jewellery pieces, etc) which you would like to press into the clay to make your vase/pot even more special.

Guided tuition throughout.

A wide selection of textures, decorations, and glazes will be available to choose from to create something truly unique.

MEMORIAL PIECES: Make a memorial to your loved one by adding a teaspoon of ashes to the clay.

Please be aware that pottery can be messy so wear an apron or an old shirt. All clay and glazes will wash out of clothing.

This is an adult only class so please don’t ask to bring your children. Many attending these workshops are hoping for some “me-time” away from the home and family, so we respect that choice.

All pieces created during the workshop will be taken away, dried thoroughly and fired in my kiln. Drying can take up to 2 weeks depending on the weather. Items will be available to collect from the Teme Valley Artisans shop within 3 weeks.
