Now in its 164th year, Tenbury Countryside show continues to grow and is testimony to the endurance and rich heritage of the local Farming community within the Teme Valley and surrounding area.
With main ring events, children’s entertainment, vintage tractors and classic vehicles, tug of war (with steam engines and Young Farmers!), tractor pulling, trade stands, concessions, delicious food and local ales and ciders, it’s a fun day out for all.
The show takes place on the first Saturday of August and is organised and run by Tenbury Agricultural Society’s team of loyal volunteers.
Please Note: Only Assistance Dogs are allowed on the showground (e.g., Guide Dogs)
The Countryside Ring is all about fun and education.
Families can while away a few happy hours doing everything from learning about sheep with The Sheep Show, trying their hand at fly fishing or archery, or riding a pony.
Great for dog lovers too, with displays on how to train a gun dog, opportunities to pat a beagle or wonder at the amazing skill of sheep dogs.
With approximately 65 classes there is something to suit most types of horses and ponies.
These include Fancy Dress, Handy Pony, Shires, Registered Welsh ponies, jumping and many other showing classes.
Our horse & pony section attracts competitors locally and from further afield.
