Tenbury Wells Young Farmers Club

Did you know you don't have to be a farmer to join  Tenbury Young Farmers?

Here in Worcestershire we have 10 active clubs that have members between aged 10-28 years old.

All of our clubs tend to meet weekly and carry out lots of fun activities, events and excursions throughout the year. There really is something for everyone.

As well as club activities there is also an active and fun filled County Programme filled with days out, residential trips and competitions.

Our local YFC Tenbury Wells  has well over 50 members between the ages of 12-26 making us one of the biggest clubs in Worcestershire. With Tenbury being based on the edge of Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Shropshire we have members from all three counties involved within our club.

We also try and interact the club with these three counties as well as other clubs in Worcestershire.

To recap on the last few years ...

The club had an unusual but successful 2019/20 year. We started the year with determination to get the best results. We entered two Pub Quiz team and enjoyed it thoroughly, we had a great night with all the Worcestershire YFC clubs!

In the sports competition we put in an amazing strong performance from our netballers where we came 1st without losing a single game; we were extremely looking forward to playing other counties but this will had to wait until the following year.

Our footballers and cricketers did a brilliant job also and we are grateful to all our members for participating.

We came second in the Entertainments competition this year and our secretary also taking home the Best Under 21 performer.

We have had many events over the years our Halloween bingo raised £350, we have never done a bingo in October and were amazed with the turnout - thank you for all the donations. Our bonfire night raised above £1300 for Tenbury YFC – thank you to all our volunteers who helped that evening, it just proves we have very valuable team members.

Our Tenbury members put 100% into each competition and most being placed throughout the day it was a lot of hard work. We are so sad to have missed the rally in this covid year, although we did enter some virtual competitions which we had a lot of 1sts and 2nd places.

As a club we also like to support local charities. We are planning to donate to MIND UK and our local foodbank following the pandemic. 2023 we plan to hold a lot more events this year to continue raising money to help these charities.

Lots of events coming including our Tenbury Wells Young Farmers Charity Bonfire and Fireworks
